Prices and Services

As You Wish Assistance Dogs offers a number of different services and service options. Whether you are on a journey towards independence with your service dog, or trying to reach your goals with your pet, we can help you be successful.

Consultations

Consultations are available either by phone, skype or in person.
If you have questions, are interested in our assistance dog or pet dog services, this is the best place to start! Consultations typically last between 45 and 60 minutes.

The first phone consultation is free!

Phone consultations = 65 dollars an hour

Skype consultations = 65 dollars an hour

In-person consultations = 70 dollars an hour (travel fee may apply)

 

Private Training Sessions

Private training sessions are available to both assistance dog and pet dog clients. Private training sessions typically last 60 minutes and can be held in your home or other dog friendly location. In the case of assistance dog teams, training sessions may be held in public, no-pet settings; the location will depend upon the behavior the team is training and if the assistance dog is task trained.

As You Wish Assistance Dogs is currently working on acquiring a training studio and will be able to host both pet dog and assistance dog training sessions in the future.

Private training sessions include: an hour of hands-on, one-on-one coaching with Tasha Magnan, KPA-CTP, a follow up email with a personalized training plan and email support as you move towards your goal.

Private Training Sessions = 70 dollars an hour (travel fee may apply)

Semi-Private Training Sessions

Semi-private training sessions are designed for up to three dog handler teams of pet dog or assistance dog clients. Semi-private training sessions typically last 60 minutes, and can be held at your home, or another dog friendly location.  In the case of assistance dog teams, training sessions may be held in public, no-pet settings; the location will depend upon the behavior the team is training and if the assistance dog is task trained. As You Wish Assistance Dogs is currently working on acquiring a training studio and will be able to host both pet dog and assistance dog training sessions in the future.

Training Camp

Training camp is designed for the busy pet-parent or assistance dog client who would like a certified professional dog trainer to work one-on-one with their dog. Training camps can either be held at your home, or at a pet friendly location. In the case of assistance dog teams, training sessions may be held in public, no-pet settings; the location will depend upon the behavior the team is training and if the dog is task trained.

Training camp includes 60 minutes of exercise, play, training, a written summary of the training session, and action steps to continue working towards your goal.

Training Camp = 70 dollars an hour (travel fee may apply)

Boarding

If you would like a certified, professional dog trainer to care for your  dogs in a loving, home environment with access to trails, fields to run in, dogs to play with, farm animals to investigate and a commitment to your dogs' well being, then boarding is for you!

As You Wish Assistance Dogs has the ability to provide space and comfortable boundaries for dog-reactive dogs or dogs with special needs. For questions  about these accommodations, please see our "Boarding" page, or contact us!

Regular Boarding: 35 dollars a day (any additional dogs from the same household are 20 dollars per day)

Board-and-Train: 50 dollars a day per dog

Special Needs Boarding: 45 dollars a day per dog.

We do not have the ability to board child-reactive dogs. For more details, please see our "Boarding" page, or contact us!

Service Dog Presentations

Service dog presentations are a perfect way to educate your school, business, or organization about service dogs and the ways that they help disabled individuals. Presentations are also a great way to learn about laws regarding service dogs, the legal rights of service dog teams, and the legal rights of businesses  who serve service dog teams.

As You Wish Assistance Dogs offers three different kinds of service dog presentations:

1) Business presentations. Geared towards educating businesses about the legal rights of service dog teams, their rights as service providers, and service dog etiquette. Business presentations will also include a demonstration of service dog tasks.

2) Children's presentations. Geared towards children and young adults, this presentation focuses on what a service dog is, how a service dog is trained, how they assist individuals with disabilities, a demonstration of service dog tasks and basic service dog etiquette.

3) General service dog presentation. Geared towards a mixed audience, this presentation combines both the business presentation and the children's presentation to give a good overview of service dogs, laws regarding service dogs, a demonstration of service dog tasks and service dog etiquette.  

A service dog presentation will includes a 30-60 minute presentation with time for answering any questions participants may have regarding service dogs. Presentations are free of charge!
